HappyPorch has been monitoring carbon emissions over the years, continuously refining our tracking methodologies and data collection practices to improve accuracy. Sharing our ongoing journey of improvement highlights our commitment to transparency and acknowledging that we are striving to be better.

As HappyPorch is a remote company with people from all around the world we constantly work on improving our engagement within the Team that we hope will result with our Team members’ satisfaction.

In November, the HappyPorch team packed our woolly hats and headed to the Austrian Alps for our second meetup of 2023. Our destination was Brixen im Thale - a ski resort town nestled away in the snowy mountains. The peace and quiet of the off-season made a lovely backdrop for our discussions and quality time together.

As part of our climate commitment, we are happy to unveil our 2022 Carbon Footprint Report. For several years, HappyPorch has monitored carbon emissions,seeking the most accurate tracking methodologies, assumption figures, and data collection practices.

For the first meetup of 2023, the HappyPorch team headed to the picturesque town of Buxton, England. Surrounded by the beautiful Peak District National Park, from forests, to farmland, to rocky hillsides -  that really set the tone for the week’s discussions on how we can continue to grow our positive impact and preserve the natural scenery around us.

At HappyPorch, we value diversity and we are always working to create a more equal, diverse and open workplace. It is the time of the year when we regularly assess diversity and equality within our Team and compare to previous years so we can identify our improvement.

For the second time in 2022, we had the privilege of spending another week together as a team, this time in Černý Vůl - a misty village just a little outside the beautiful city of Prague. After the success of the Seaton Carew meetup, it was safe to say we were all very excited to see everyone in person again. Nestled amongst trees, the location provided a lovely space to spark environmental discussions, have epic board game sessions and simply gather around a home cooked meal.
